The Tamil Nadu Village Cooking Channel has made history by becoming the first YouTube channel in the state to reach 1 crore (10 million) subscribers.

We made the decision to launch the channel at that point,” Subramanian added.

“We’ve seen footage of several YouTubers who get their names engraved on buttons. They speak in numerous languages, but never in Tamil. The team expressed their gratitude to the Tamil community for their support and pride in obtaining the Diamond Play Button.

The monthly ad revenue from YouTube views brings in about Rs 7 lakh for the Village Cooking Channel crew. The Village Cooking Channel’s tagline, “Ellarum vaanga, always welcomes you!” has gained a lot of traction over the past three years.
