Is ₹200 crore hidden in almirahs connected to Cong MP Dhiraj Sahu?

After counting up to Rs 50 crore, the note-counting system utilized by the IT officials malfunctioned. The Ranchi and Lohardaga districts of Jharkhand and Odisha’s Bolangir and Sambalpur were the sites of the searches, according to officials.

Due to the counting machines’ limited capacity, the counting could not be finished in three days, and videos of bundles of notes heaped inside almirahs went viral on Friday. Thirty-six counting machines were unable to count the money that kept coming up during raids by the income tax department in Jharkhand. Congress Rajya Sabha MP for Jharkhand Dhiraj Prasad Sahu was connected to the case; the raid was carried out on an Odisha-based distillery group and companies associated with it. Regarding the raids that started on Wednesday, the MP has not responded, and the note-counting is still ongoing.

According to PTI, the entire sum of money would exceed ₹200 crore. This sum was discovered hidden in almirahs on the Boudh Distillery Private Limited’s Balangir area property. Additional areas targeted by the raids were Ranchi in Jharkhand, Bokaro, and Sambalpur and Sundargarh in Odisha. – Officials quoted
